The process of internationalisation that OWAC has undertaken is producing its results, an intense programme of activities in China (financed by the European Community through Action 3.4.2 of OP-FESR Sicilia 2014-2020) aimed at finding strategic partners to promote high-tech solutions for environmental protection, pollution reduction, and the improvement of the local population’s quality of life OWAC has signed a partnership agreement with the Hangzhou-based company, a company it met on several occasions, including the IE EXPO international trade fair held in Shanghai in April 2019, at OWAC s.r.l.’s premises in Palermo and in September 2019 during the IE Expo Guangzhou trade fair, a leading trade fair for environmental technology solutions in southern China. The partnership aims to create a primary system that will pre-treat municipal waste before it can be used for thermal purposes. Recent years have seen the consolidation of ideas for integrated waste management systems, particularly in relation to the treatment of municipal solid waste. Our system uses multiple methods to reduce resource consumption. We prioritise reusing, recycling, and recovering materials to create a closed loop and minimise waste.
